Hello!
At long last, the Wrath and Wilderness themes are now available in their own little document, finishing off the set of eighteen. None of the themes are in a fully finished state yet, and all of them will undergo at least a little revision and rebalancing in the months to come, especially the first ones I finished. I've also got a long long list of themes that didn't quite make the cut (including a holy theme, by popular demand). Some of those might show up at a later date, but for now I turn my focus elsewhere.
Next up is the Stronghold chapter, which is well on its way to completion. To those who haven't checked on the Discord, the party's stronghold will essentially function like another party member with its own character sheet, attributes, skills, and features. The party has joint control over their stronghold and work together to improve it over time. Investing wealth in the stronghold will be highly abstracted, so the party can avoid any accounting and just focus on just the fun parts of management- choosing new features and improving their home's population, appearance, and grandeur. The image for this update shows just a few of the features that can be built. Each party member will also be able to construct their own specialized nook within the larger stronghold, so the knight will have their order house, the magician their tower, the thief their den, etc. Interesting random characters will arrive monthly to add a little color to the stronghold, and occasional random events will provide story hooks and keep things dynamic at home.
There's a fair amount left to go to finish the Stronghold chapter, but once it's out, the next thing will be releasing Playtest Version 1.2. This will mean consolidating all the content I've added into the main playbook along with a lot of edits and fixes based on all the great feedback I've gotten. I'm really looking forward to that!
