This is the first published version of Out of Season!

This initial version of the game is unique in that it's got lampshading and Summersong in it. I could sit here for hours trying to explain, but just play it. If it doesn't make sense from playing it, it won't make sense from describing it.

New features:

• The game exists.
• Twilight can go bother her friends to go on an adventure. Twilight can recruit them in any order and the dialogue will change; whoever you recruited last does all the talking when you go get the next one.
• There is a map in Twilight's house to help locate the girls' residences.
• Rarity's Quest
  • A rudimentary interface to change Twilight's Outfit is now available so that you can complete this quest. In the future, there will be a proper menu and you will be able to change the Outfit of any character currently in the party.
  • Twilight has four Outfits available: Hero, Knight, Ranger, and Rogue.
• There's a bonus sequence available in the Carousel Boutique after recruiting Rarity. BEWARE UR IN FOR A SPOOP
• Applejack's Quest
  • Applejack has a gopher-gittin' minigame, but since Outfits and combat aren't done, it's a little basic.
  • Applejack attacks some of the Ziesels herself.
• Pinkie's Quest
  • Pinkie just talks at you and then joins the party. This may be revised in future versions.
• Fluttershy's Quest
  • Is a bit walky. In future versions I may revise this so you gather the plants from her garden and make the soup for her yourself.
• Rainbow Dash's Quest
  • There's a cool tutorial dungeon with lots of funnee dialogue.
• Several areas have scenery Twilight can examine for extra flavor text and, perhaps, little bonus scenes.
• Message boxes can display character names over or under the face graphic.
• Message boxes can change face graphic in the middle of a message.
• Twilight and her friends can legally change their names courtesy of an Inkwell.
  • In future builds this will cause other characters to respond to their stupid new names.
  • There are special responses for vulgar names and for trying to steal one another's names.
• When playable characters appear outside the party as NPCs, they reflect the character's Outfit.
  • This is currently only visible when the POV shifts briefly away from Twilight, the only character who can currently change Outfit, while recruiting Rainbow Dash while Twilight is not alone.
• Characters can have six animation frames instead of three.
• This is currently only visible with Discord, either after recruiting Fluttershy or [REDACTED].
• Once you clear this alpha once, you can start it over to do it in a different order, and Summersong will show up to give extra developer commentary.
• I'm probably forgetting things but who's reading this anyway!

Features technically in that aren't actually clearly visible:

• When a playable character's face appears in a message box, the face reflects their Outfit. Twilight has the same face graphic copy-pasted for all four of her current Outfits as a placeholder.
• Right now only Twilight can change Outfit; although she technically changes her face graphic, all of them are the same one copy-pasted as placeholders. If you recruit Rainbow Dash after you've recruited anyone else, the Twilight that is knocked back is also an NPC version that reflects Twilight's Outfit.

Known issues:

• There's RTP everywhere including the characters' battle sprites.
• Daisy ain't got no hair.
• Several townsponies are grey templates.
• When the same character speaks across sequential message boxes, the name window closes/reopens and the face flickers.
• Some dialogue does not display correctly because I wrote it before the name and face windows were working, and forgot to update it afterward. Examples include examining the door to the barn after recruiting Applejack.
• Applejack seems to attack the second Ziesel (wrong), but every third thereafter (right).
• In the Dash-Dungeon, Twilight can raise the spikes while the boulder is on top of them. (This does not inhibit completing the Dash-Dungeon.)
• Some dialogue may not display a character's name.
• There may be typos in some dialogue.
