I'm happy to announce the biggest update for this game to date - version 1.2!
It took a great amount of work, but I think it was worth the hassle
I'm going to split the change list into 3 categories here - Highlights, Changes and Fixes
Highlights:
- MINIMAP (toggled) - this handy little thing covers a small area around the player and it can be useful when navigating between dangerous liquids (it does not show locations of secret areas),
- CROSSHAIR / HIT RANGE INDICATOR (toggled) - this thing changes its color to green when a hitable game object is in range of our weapon,
- QUIT SCREEN (also toggled) - now you don't have to worry about accidentally quitting the game.
Changes:
- Triggers for secret areas - when you go into a secret area, a nice little jingle plays and a message is displayed on the screen,
- One Super Secret for Godsey in Level 5 - it's my personal thank you for a man who noticed a huge hole in a wall (just push that wall block to reveal it),
- Worm boss now partially closes its mouth when killed; he also makes a death sound and can be passed through after being slain,
- Small changes in levels 1, 4 and 8 (including wider gates for the last 4 legless zombies),
- Level adjustments for the minimap,
- Shadows under key indicators.
Fixes:
- Crossbow crosshair is now properly centered,
- Fixed zombie's green slime hit detection,
- Fixed a hole in level 5,
- Performance fixes,
- Probably more minor stuff which I can't recall now.
