For our last project in Level Design, we are utilizing the Greenwood Fantasy Village asset pack to create a village and surrounding area that will be later connected to each other's levels.
I have decided to focus on creating an engaging atmosphere for the village, and to make it feel alive. The center of the village will feature a bustling market, with stalls selling everything under the sun. Moving out from the middle of town, you will find busy streets of houses with little gardens blending into the outskirts of town. The edge of town is dominated with farmland and surrounded by a wooden wall encasing the entire village for safety. Beyond the wall you may find scattered farmland or the occasional campsite of travelers.
The purpose of this game for me is still undecided. I want to focus on creating a wonderful atmosphere for the player to explore.
