Almost 5 months since the release of v0.2a and the update for Warrior Tycoon was almost done for 3 months while I was still not able to configure the CORS to download the icons. I basically stopped the project because I couldn't find the problem and was depressed about it.
Now, 5 months later, I've decided to remove the modding feature from the game and finally release update 0.5 to close a small chapter.
I took it upon myself and with the latest update of Microsoft Edge, there are much easier and more debug options to debug Unity games at runtime. When I saw that, I thought maybe now I can figure out what the problem was all along.
And with the new features of Microsoft Edge, I was finally able to track down and fix the problem with CORS in the game. Now the game will also be moddable via our Wikipedia website, which is a great success.
In the meantime, my wife got pregnant and we'll be 3 this September <3.
We've also been working on some smaller games and participating in some game jams. Check out Warrior Vania, it's a great RPG with Metroid Vania elements with a lot of potential.

We are excited to finalize this update and take a big step on the roadmap for Warrior Tycoon
The Great Evil is a mechanism that can end the game if the player does not accept quests and tasks. Once the Great Evil becomes too powerful, it overruns the kingdom and the player is Game Over. It simply works and the "counter" is increased monthly based on available and unfinished quests.
The system will later be expanded to include unfinished quests to give the player a reason to accept all quests and tasks in the game.
Once Year 4 is over, the player will now encounter quests. We have added 5 quests, each containing a total of 4-10 tasks, so we can see how the system works and how people like it. The quests and tasks will also be responsible for Warrior Tycoon's storyline and campaign later in the beta.
The quests have the purpose of reducing the number of Great Evil, and once completed, players will receive extra money for their academy.
Various tasks not only grant additional money, but also increase the attributes of each warrior. Combat tasks contain a number of enemies and grant money as a reward. If the player's warriors die during a quest, the quest is cancelled and the player receives a consolation prize.

In recent weeks we have added a turn-based combat system to Warrior Tycoon. Once the player has trained warriors, they can release them in the "Adventure Hall" and from here, if they are alive, they can take them on quests to fight in combat challenges.
We have implemented a system in Warrior Tycoon that allows players to change different aspects of the game.
As Warrior Tycoon is currently only playable on the web, it can only be loaded from the Warrior Tycoon Skill Sheets - (warriortycoon.stussegames.com) . The game loads a set of skills with icons from the website into the game. These skill sets can be selected from the main menu.
This feature allows players to modify the game via our Wikipedia website. Players and modders can easily modify existing skills or even create completely new skills or skill sets.
In future releases, we plan to increase Warrior Tycoon's modding capability and also add the option for standalone versions to load mods or game changes from game assets or directly from a file.

The Evil Counter no longer increases by a fixed value. The value is now increased by available and unfinished quests.
Fixed various user interface elements where the player could not scroll.
Dead warriors are now displayed in the adventure hall.
Loan interest rates have been reduced from 10% to 1.25%.
The game now returns to the main scene if the player loses the game.
Added more than 20 new items to craft in the forge.

Warrior Tycoon has received a massive load of mechanics and code with version 0.5. The entire quest and combat system as well as the skill mod have increased the project from about 6,000 lines of code to 11,000 lines of code. The game yet is far from finished.
