Version 1.1 Released

The Omega Rod
A browser game made in HTML5

I've released version 1.1 for The Omega Rod with some bug fixes, requested features, and - most importantly - a web version!

This is my first time posting a devlog for a game, so bear with me as I go through the changes in excessive detail...

General

  • Added web version (this comes with a bunch of behind the scenes changes for optimisation and platform differences)
  • Added inventory display
  • Added alternate swap rod button
  • Added delay before quitting

Bug Fixes

  • Prevented "X Boost" enchantments from all applying regardless of element of current rod (reduced enemy hp scaling to compensate)
  • Made slimes spawned from big slimes scale their hp and damage correctly
  • Made doors solid

Enchantments (the scroll things)

  • X Shield: Increased damage reduction
  • Sprint: Increased speed increase
  • Humility: Reduced damage increase

Effects

  • Explode: Increased base explosion radius
  • Knockback: Reworked so that enemies with more health are knocked back less, and enemies take damage when knocked into walls or other enemies
