I've gone into quiet-mode while working on this major update which includes support for dedicated servers, new ship classes, weapons, capturable bases, ship construction and fleet control, radar minimap, new physics-based GUI concepts, asteroid interiors, better particles, destructable asteroids, and much more.
Command Ships.
You now spawn in a heavily armed and armored Command Ship which can build and control a fleet drones.
Turrets:
An automated turret system was implemented which includes line-of-sight tracking, firing arcs, dynamic beams and more. Currently only beam turrets are supported but missiles are coming soon.
Capturing Bases / Regions
Asteroid bases can be captured for their factions and capture progress is tracked via an animated radial progress bar. Once claimed, automated turrets will fire on enemy factions who enter the base, and wormholes will open for the owners.
