First Devblog, can't wait to see the ugly thing. I'm testing this site out.
Today I added rocks to the enemy hangout spot. I baked them to the navmesh so the enemies will walk around it. Pretty cool stuff, satisfaction gained.
Then I spent a while adding muzzle flash. I tried to import the barebone muzzle flash into my game, no success. So I imported the entire Unity Particle Pack, which I think is a good idea. Lots of prefabs to fuck around with. I am making an effort to import only what I need from assets, to save space on my WebGL build, and any other platform. I read that the max zip file size Itch.io will accept is 200MBs. My game is currently 17.5 MB/s so I'm in a good spot.
I then rolled with the motivation I got from all that and looked at tackling sound. With the help of Jason Weiman's video, I learnt a good way to set up an initial sound system and integrated that into my game. I'll link the video below. This allows me to easily interact with my sound system through C#, of course, but that's all I need. The sound was fun to muck with.
