We're excited to bring our first update to Void Incursion! This update includes some quality of life features focused around controlling units and the user interface.
We overhauled the logic for how units are selected when using the drag-to-select feature. Previously it worked as follows:
Now the system takes into account your current selection when using the shift modifier as well as a longer chain of logic in general. So, it will prefer to select
If you have things already selected, it will match on everything you have selected plus everything you are trying to select. That is, if you already have a friendly military unit and a friendly worker unit selected and you drag to select another worker and military unit, it will select both. On the other hand, if you have nothing selected and drag to select a worker and military unit, it only selects the military unit.
Selected units now have their a selection ring drawn so it's easier to know which units you are controlling. If this appears to work well it will be replaced with a higher quality asset later
Added the following loading screen tips:
Added a red overlay when you don't have enough resources to use resource-consuming abilities (buildings, entities) on the following entities and buildings:
Unholy lair now actually charges the listed cost when upgrading (previously did not allow you to upgrade without enough resources but did not actually take them away)
Unholy lair no longer shows upgrades that another unholy lair is already working on or completed.
Resolved crash when trying to use Gargoyle's Limited Flight ability, though the ability itself still does not work
