Quick Swap, map improvements, bug fixes and much more.
We believe that Warrior Vania has great potential to be a great and awesome Zelda Metroid RPG. Over the past few days, many of you have tested the first playable version of Warrior Vania, pointing out some issues and giving us feedback and suggestions about the game.
Because of this, we will now update the game and add additional features, change certain aspects and fix bugs based on your feedback.
I think this is the feature that not only we wanted the most, but also most of you pointed out. It doesn't feel comfortable to play because you always have to open the inventory to use potions or change weapons to harvest certain resources.
For this we now bring the Quick Slots to Warrior Vania. The player is now able to store weapons and potions in a "toolbar" or "quickbar" so that he can use the items during the game with the defined keyboard keys without having to open the inventory.
I think this improves the gameflow and the fun of the game by 1000%.
There was a slight lag when the player switched between maps. This should now be mostly gone, as the maps are reset over time.
The world already has a certain size and sections. We plan to add more maps and different themes like snow, desert, plain, dark forest, if each of these sections contains ~5 maps, we will end up with about 50 -70 maps in total. So the performance of the maps is crucial and needs to be optimized as much as possible.
Trees and herb spawns are randomly generated, previously it also happened that resources overlapped. We have improved the spawning system and resources should no longer overlap. They should also no longer spawn on paths and other objects.
We have also implemented Square Spawning so that we can better optimize and adjust the spawning areas of the resources.
We have added new cosmetics and ground elements to all maps to make them more appealing and varied.
We have added new demon enemies and infested spawns in the hell maps and filled them with resources and decoration so that they are no longer empty.
We have improved the attack range of various enemies.
The Character Name get displayed now above the Health Panel.
User interfaces are now closed correctly when other user interfaces are opened.
The escape key now closes any user interface and no longer opens the settings menu if another user interface was open.
Inventory Redesign, we changed a couple things in the Main Inventory to give it more clearance.
Thanks everyone for pointing out Bugs and send us Feedback and Suggestions.
We hope the new Version will be much better to play. We are up for more Suggestions and Feedback.
Dash and teleport ability for the character. This can be used to enter certain areas that are blocked. (More Metroid Vania elements for the game) These abilities can then be found in the world of Vania like other objectives and can be found through RNG.
Boss battles. We already have a few boss creatures in the game, but their behavior is no different from anyone else's. We want to give the bosses individual behavior's and attacks that challenge the player.
Shovel man and artefacts is a little idea we still have in mind. Once you find the Shovel Man, he gives you a shovel that you can use to find hidden artifacts in the world of Warrior Vania. These artefacts give the player attributes and change certain aspects of the game.
Adding more tutorials and gameplay information to accompany the game so that players are not overwhelmed right at the start.
Improving the Protect the Castle Feature and Mechanic of the Game.
Working on a better Intro for New Player
