Today we have a major update - Plow Games is launching The Rusty Sword: Vanguard Island for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Each version offers controller support for XInput controllers. For compatibility with certain controllers, on Mac, the Right Shoulder button also acts as the Start button.
New to this build of the game, there's now an old hermit in the empty house that you can buy Life Potions. You can also interact with him in several other ways. Coins can be found in treasure chests, by defeating monsters, and in any destructible objects, such as jars and bushes.
Launching with the game, we put together a short, classically-inspired, printable instruction booklet. It features much of the official artwork and detailed information about how to play the game. Be sure to check it out!
Please send us any feedback you have on the game. Once we're confident players are happy, we plan to submit the Nintendo Switch version for review. While it's under review, we plan to release versions of the game on Steam, as well as Google Play and the iOS App Store with controller support.
