Battle Mines, itch.io memorial

I've made this itch.io page to commemorate Battle Mines, a game I worked on for a few years. It ran on my website at battlemines.com, and was a flash game that talked to a back-end hosted out of my living room.

It never caught on. This was pretty crippling since it was meant to be an MMO. It was meant to give players something to do few a few minutes a couple of times a day. The goals were open-ended but included dominating in trade, military, or diplomacy. Building monuments. Exploring. The map was abstract, which I don't think worked as well as its previous incarnation but would have scaled better to a lot of players.
