$10 Giveaway + Demo Progress

Hey there! I've decided to host a 2-week contest to gather feedback and gauge interest in Next in Line. By participating, you will be entered to win $10 PayPal cash or a $10 gift card (I'll provide a few options, but leave a comment if you have a preference. ) Sorry ahead of time if there are any typos, it's almost 2:30 am and I had to work from 10-8 today. 

Before I explain how to enter the contest, I want to provide an update on the demo! I've made wayyyyy more progress than I thought I would in the last couple of weeks. 

Coding

I dug in deep the last month and got past some coding blocks, as well as completed 80% of the demo script coding. Coding wins:

• Figured out the code so players can re-name the MC, default name is set to "Violet"
• (After days of effort) You can now earn affection points from the Love Interests - the end of the demo will reveal whether your route will be Constantine, Margaret, or Frederick, depending on who has the most affection points. 
• The first couple of choices with the love interests will not affect affection points and will be there so you can get a better understanding of the characters 

Art

I bought some background art from an artist on itch.io. However, I need more and they aren't taking commissions. I have some other placeholder background art but the style is inconsistent with the other backgrounds, so this will need to be adjusted later on. Still, it's nice to have some visuals in the demo. Makes it feel like my game is really coming to fruition!

I haven't worked on character art since my last update. However, now that I'm basically done with coding the script, my focus will shift to completing the references to send our awesome volunteer artist, Mintty. I would really like to have the demo out in the next few months!! 

Based on my spreadsheet tracking and the current work completed, the demo is around 60%-65% complete!
