Cat-ch
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android

The process of creating Cat-ch was way more interesting than I thought it would be. As someone who rarely plays ttrpgs, it was fun to learn and experience the thought process, design intent and overall mechanics that accompany this game genre. I knew I wanted to create a relatively simple game that would be fun to play with family and friends. I also wanted a game that had simple mechanics seeing how complex some games can be. In starting this project, I watched some ttrpg gameplays on youtube and took notes on the elements I liked and could understand. I think the hardest part of the game process came down to actually creating the game and its rules. I learned that while some things may look good in your head, once you actually get them down they may actually be very "unrealistic". I noticed this a lot when making the rules of my game. But after many trials and errors, quick game tests and a copious amount of breaks, I was finally able to organize and conceptualize the vision in my head.
