Rules have been streamlined and expanded to treat all resource pool type things as "assets" — stuff you can use to boost your rolls whenever, and that refresh between scenes (or sessions, or adventures). This covers skills, gear, cyberware, resources, and your scene reputation.
This is meant to make it possible to win through superior firepower, and to make it easier for players to compare what options they have.
