Death platformer is alive

Pillars of Anguish
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Hey folks! Hope you're having a good day.

Today we're releasing a new development build of Pillars of Anguish. It's been a hot minute since the last one, so it's about time we update you on the progress.

666Savior has been hard at work with an overhaul of all of our environment art. It's not complete yet, but there's already a lot to like about his refreshed takes on the 3D models. How do you like the upgraded visuals?

Designing levels is primarily Savior's domain, but a while ago I decided to try my hand at making one too. We have a first iteration of it ready, and we hope you enjoy it.

A lot of my work recently has been focused on improving the physics. I'm pleased to announce that you can now jump while running down a slope! Fall damage is now based on speed instead of where you jump from, and dead bodies should not hinder performance any more. Please let us know how it all feels. There's probably a few more improvements we can make here.

Speaking of improvements, we've made a lot of small ones. Hopefully they add up to a nicer experience. Still no save states though, so be careful about that Alt+F4.

Download the game for free! We'd love to hear any and all feedback.

Find us on Discord, Twitch (666Savior13, Outfrost), and in the comments.

PS We're taking part in Ludum Dare 50. Come hang out at our livestreams and in the Discord server!
