Been a minute, but now there's a brand new update with a (single) new feature. There will also likely be a significant time gap between this update and the next, as the next few weeks will be focused primarily on rewriting existing code to be more efficient/less spaghetti.
1) The pause menu now creates an image of the game behind it, and removes instances of the ball being respawnable even while paused by pressing R.
2) The settings menu now has an actual setting! Specifically it lets you turn the sound effects on/off from inside the game. Settings such as min/max score values will not be added in the future as they would change the game's rules mid-game. However settings like control options and window size/resolution will be added as they're implemented.
Known bugs:
1) Changes to options will still be counted when pressing Esc as opposed to saving and exiting.
2) When accessing the settings menu while in-game, the image displaying the game in the background will disappear. This has no effect on the gameplay in-progress however, and is purely visual. The game continues as before when the menu is unpaused.
