Hello world!
This Little Knight of Mine is an exploration of patterns and pattern manipulation in games, taking the form of a surreal 2.5D side-scrolling adventure with a hand-drawn aesthetic.
To kickstart the project, our team is focusing on building baseline combat systems and platforming to support higher level work later on, like level design and enemy AI design. Currently the player can run, jump, attack, and smash enemies!
We've also been hard at work making more animations for Candle Knight and building models for the other characters.
Next on the to-do list is giving the player the ability to grab and throw objects, building hazards and checkpoints, implementing some simple UI, and developing the visuals of the game to better match our intended hand-drawn look.
