What's rocking?
This is a CRITICAL jump into this projects advancement! Soldiers' Descent 0.2.0's Combat Update is now available! Originally, the combat showcase was a buggy mess, but it's now fully functional with proper mechanics, models, animations, and more. There isn't a win or game over screen yet for the turn-based combat, but that will be designed later because the game still functions without it.
Although the combat is turn-based, you'll have to manage ammo like how you would with shooters, so keep an eye on your ammo reserves to strategically plan your reloads. Also, your gun isn't what determines your damage; your ammo choice determines the carnage sprayed.
Now that the combat system is finally in a completely refined state, it's now time to move onto the dungeon generation. Luckily, I already coded the generation, so that *may* be added as a minor update before 0.3.0! 0.3.0's main premise is dungeon generation, loot tables, spawns, and all of that technical jargon.
As always, give 0.2.0 a download and try it out for yourself! If you find any bugs, please me know so I can churn them out in the next hotfix. Thank you and have a great day.
