Game Maker 2's Physics engine is very interesting and takes a while to understand. I must admit I have not spent any time on this since the last time I updated and spent the morning making a breakable Backboard!
The first issue was the image_angle is opposite to the physics one, which made everything seem really strange at first. Once I found this out though, I was over the moon. I could then concentrate on the Physics of the Ball and Backboard getting the weight and feel of both things correct.
The physics are now done and you can press The R Key to restart the game since there is no way of getting backboard pieces back yet. The phyics will be teaked between versions of the game, so I can get the feel perfect. Just love the phsyical damage to the board and making all the pieces a random colour. I also made the board pieces slightly transparent with the image_alpha to make it more glass like.
Now I can concentrate on making this an actual game "HOHO!"
