0.0.20 Has now released.
Hey everyone, I just recently finsihed up my latest build for Person H : The Midnight Channel.
In this update, there are a lot of things fixed. a lot that has been reworked and a lot of new designs added. Keep in mind that as I"m proceeding to my 0.1.0 release, the art in this game is not final.
What has been updated :
- Created another save file slot, this was mostly to test having two different saves going. Seems to work, if there aren't any known bugs with it then I will work on getting more save file slots. I personally like the have multiple saves going
- Created an icon for the .exe of the game.
- Have worked a new architecture to loading and saving, this should allow for NEW variables declared to be recognized by older saves. Had a bug where the game couldn't handle new variables created and it crashed, so I created this and it seems to be working. The true test will be if it continues to work on newer updates with older saves.
- I created a strength stat and allowed the mining minigame to increase this stat over time, it can allow for more ores to be mined.
- I Worked on Chie's functionality a bit, allowing the palyer to "Spend Time" with her. You have to increase your strength stat before doing so however.
- Added some new designs to the menus, along with a new Stats tab in the menu. Also changed over some color options to allow future designs to be done easier.
- Weird bug was fixed causing game to nt know which save it was in when playing a new game, now the game runs independenty to whichever save you are running or if you choose a new game.
- Worked on the artwork to some of the backgrounds, added in some details here and there.
- Added in some functionality to change the background based on the time of day, will work more on these details in upcoming updates. I just wanted to make sure I had the functionality available now.
- Game performance and stability improvements

I plan to be working more on the Art for the next update. I think it's a good diea to go back and forth from working on art to code to art again. So I think I will be working ona "Secret"character for a future update.
