Thank you everyone for playing the GameJam Build of "Stitch em' up", while we were incredibly happy with the product we released, we had to cut some planned content for the deadline. Now we no longer have the stress of a deadline, we can add those half-implemented mechanics into the build!
-Patch Mechanic-
The player's Sprite will now update according to how much damage you have done to the player, as you rip your opponent apart, you get additional patches! This was very nearly in the final build, but due to some unfortunate bugs, we just missed the mark.
-Gameplay Balances-
We got some Excellent feedback from playtesters, so with this feedback, we can iterate on the product.
=Gameplay has been sped up drastically, this is to make movement much more of a viable option when in combat, with this, we have also made jumping much more of a valid option, which helps us with our next update.
-Three Platforms have been added to the stage, this allows players to traverse around the level vertically, as well as get players out of the corner.
-Several balance changes have been added also. Claus' heavy attack has been heavily nerfed, which some would argue was his best tool. We have adjusted character balance overall, making Anne Faster but giving Claus a better jump. Both characters have advantages and weaknesses that make them overall much more balanced.
-Several bugs have been fixed. The UI now works as intended and all buttons link to the correct area and some interactions have been fixed.
While this Project is still only a small GameJam project, we wish to keep expanding on this over a longer period of time.
If you have any feedback/suggestions for us, please let us know!
