Word Guess Released

     It's been a long time since I made anything on Game Maker. For the last 2 years the pandemic has waged war on my ambition and my day job has been incredibly busy. My last game I made was Please Feed My Troll a game I made back in 2020 for Ludum Dare. Since completing that game I have just been hard pressed to come up with anything resembling a game.

    Then a funny thing happened I stumbled upon the simplest little word guessing game Wordle and I began to play it every day. The game was so simple but at the same time enjoyable but one problem was that I can only play one word a day. So the idea to make a word guessing game that would have more than one word.

   I soon found out that trying to make anything like this cool little game with a built in dictionary was beyond my skill so I built a game with no dictionary but you are only allowed to backspace twice on each level. I also implemented a scoring system that gives you more points if you guess the word sooner.

   Anyway it was more of a project to prove that I could still make something if my mind was up to it. The game has some randomness so one can play through it a couple without getting the same words again. If there is interest I could easily update it if I seen it was getting some browser plays.
