Conquerrence Ver 1.3/1.4

Thanks to falling ill with the virus that's on everyone's minds as of late (and sharing my laptop with a family member for the purposes of their taking an exam), I didn't write nearly as much as I wanted to. However, I am happy to report that I've fully recovered and intend to write a lot more. So, after coming off a month-long wait, how about I do another special update? That's right, I'm doing a Valentine's Day Special. Not only that, I'll be posting this along with an open poll, also in the devlog section. Make sure to check that out and vote.

Because I want to release the Valentine's Day date for both the patron and public build at the same time, the public build will be getting Ver 1.4 + the date while the patrons will get Ver 1.5 + the date. Hopefully that isn't confusing.

Patron Build - Ver 1.4

  • Seridazar: One of my other favorite nations to write. Unfortunately, I didn't get quite far enough to meeting the Miraim, but I'm extremely excited to write him. He's one of the more... aggressive characters, so it will be a contrast to the other leaders who have thus far welcomed the player with open arms. I did at least manage to write the journey from Wevendh through the desert to the capital of Zarraqeir, and I focused quite a bit on how the people adapted to living in a hostile, poisonous desert. Fairly lore-heavy.
  • Emergency Event: If you thought that you're the only ruler visiting other nations with the express intent of meeting other leaders, you're wrong. There is one such leader doing as you do- and they have gone straight to Wevendh, lying in wait as you return from another nation. Who is the leader brave enough to take on Wevendh head-on? You'll have to find out.
  • Features: No NSFW scenes yet, which is probably my biggest regret. Now that I'm recovered I'm probably going to ensure that the next build is even smuttier than usual.
  • Patron-Only Instant Skip: Now that we're going into content that requires players to have completed multiple routes, I realized that people who are paying to see the new content earlier would want to see it as soon as I drop it. To that end patrons get the instant skip feature, so they get the content immediately without having to complete another playthrough. This also includes instant skipping to all NSFW good and bad ends, for ease of smut reading. This will not carry over to public builds.



    Public Build - Ver 1.3

    • Dusetmene: Finally writing one of my fortes, after two fight scenes we finally come upon a Diplomacy route that doesn't center around marriage. Because we aren't speedrunning straight to the leader and beating them down for the Conquest route, I made sure to keep the pace leisurely and full of detail. Since diplomacy works on what the player has, it hinges on what chapters have been completed before. At the moment those are only Frateo and the Floating Citadel, but as the chapters expand the possibilities will too. Either way, this route is great for anyone who likes lore.
    • Features: One diplomacy route, two NSFW bad endings, one SFW bad ending, and two modeling scenes that can be NSFW depending on choices. Mostly bottom-focused humiliation,  with some stuck-in-wall and spitroasting sprinkled in there.
    • Clothing system: This is the very first step toward customization, as I realized that this is a feature I think a lot of people enjoy. While I am unsure of how thorough the customization will be ultimately, at the moment there is clothing that works toward a certain (unfinished) route in Dusetmene. My plan is for the player to be able to purchase clothing at every single nation and subsequently wear them in each nation as well, as a replacement for the traveling garb. We'll see when this is properly implemented.
    • Public Opinion: New diplomacy mechanic which determines how a nation reacts to any public actions you make. This determines how willing a nation (and more specifically, it's leader) is to allying or helping you. Eventually there will be consequences for making your opinion too low as well.
    • Settings: A new sidebar tab, at the moment only used for a public opinion notification toggle, A.K.A. whether the game tells you your public opinion changed and by how much. By default this is Off for story immersion, but if you prefer knowing you can turn it on.


    Bugfixes:

    • Players were unable to lose against Timo if a super effective attack dropped the player's health to below 0, the negative numbers. Now players can access his bad ends at 0 and below.
    • Players were unable to progress in the Timo fight during a Metal-Water reaction due to a lack of a continue link. This has been patched so the fight progresses normally.
