Just submitted the final files for the Virtual Pet Jam. It was a great time putting in the work to get this project completed, particularly as a solo developer. I've built about a dozen other board games, but only as physical copies that I've used in local play sessions.
This is the first time I've submitted something on Itch.io. Longtime lurker, first time submitter.
It was certainly a challenge squeezing the entire game into 2 pages, including a player board. That was the major constraint here, but I really enjoyed the process, as well as working with very little in terms of tokens, etc.
Big appreciation goes out to the organizers at Team DogPit: https://teamdogpit.itch.io/ who have put in a ton of work (and it's not over) to organize this Jam.
For now, really happy to have submitted and it's incredible to see the Virtual Pet Jam with over 100 submissions.
