We have replaced our placeholder character model with our own original character, the fighter.
The fighter is an orc knight that is capable of wielding both conjuration and lightning magic, although his main expertise is in, well you know, fighting. His magic revolves around moving fast and outplaying his enemy rather than using powerful spells. His conjuration magic is very simple, and really at a beginner level. He can only summon simple weapons such as a sword or a dagger. His lightning magic comes from magical energy stored in his arm bracers, so he can't really control it. He simply discharges the electricity he has stored to use powerful, short range attacks.
The first and second abilities use conjuration magic. His first ability summons a dagger that is launched quickly towards his enemy. The second ability summons a sword and dashes forward slicing anything in his path. The third and fourth abilities use lightning magic. The third ability discharges electricity in a forward facing cone, doing massive damage to enemies that are too close. The final ability dives downward and slams the ground, discharging a large spherical blast of electricity.
By pressing the "3" key you can perform a dance. This is very important for flexing after you win a round.
There are now three stages to play on each with a different feel. Club (left) is a very open map that relies on movement fundamentals such as dashing off of triangular objects or jumping around on pillars. Ruins (middle) is a dense map with high visibility and a central building with tunnels that allow the player to perform some tricky maneuvers. Cube (right) is a large, multi-layered map that is great for playing with lots of people.
There are now 19 songs in the game, as well as some songs that can change BPM during combat.
There are now a few more settings to make the game more accessible. We tried to hit some of the issues people were having with the earlier version of this game such as motion blur or beat timing.
