I revised the core engine so that a SETTLE result requires a tough choice between "avoiding part of the risk and accomplishing part of their action, or taking all of the risk and accomplishing all of their action."
I revised combat so that "When your reaver's melee weapon is larger than their opponent's weapon, the opponent imposes their first risk twice - e.g., if your reaver has a spear, a wolf would cause only a bloody wound the first two times your reaver SUFFERS. A shield counts as the largest melee weapon. Large and fearsome predators are more menacing than any weapon that your reaver could wield."By the way, I love that you can open Scribus files with any text editor and copy, paste, revise the meat of the file.
