Greetings and welcome to our Devlog!

-Who are we?-

We are three Game Design students in our 5th Semester who came together to finally work on a dream project- A narrative Designer, a 2D Artist and a Programmer.
After working on several, smaller projects  prior, we wanted to see if our Team has the potential to make something greater. Something with a lot more effort and heart put into it. (And something that's is a little more detached from the usual university/study context).

This project should mark the beginning of a new chapter. Even some kind of Ordeal of fire if you will- We want to see if our synergy works in a more serious setting. Can we develop an interesting and fun game working together full time for 6 months? If so,  we are aiming to fullfill our dream of founding a small studio sometime after graduating from university. Why not dream big?

So yeah, this log entry might be a little late, but we never considered setting up a Devlog until now. We already learned so much and thought it would be fun to share it with who ever is interested in this.

-Welcome to Hell Inc. -

Hell Inc. tells the story of a sassy and lazy Demon called Damien, who is stuck in his life as an office worker in a highly bureaucraticadministration system in hell, which manages the torment of all humans souls.
His last centuries solely consisted of boring, repetive paperwork but things are about to change- An unusual rise of sinning souls descending into Hell threatens the whole system to collapse, and now it is Damiens job to travel into the human world to find out whats going on.

Hell Inc. is a narrative driven 2D adventure game which was inspired by games like Undertale, Sam&Max, A Night in the Woods and Helltaker.
We aimed for more simplistic gameplay and mechanics since our Team lacks some coding / tech skills, but we are confident that we can compensate this with some solid narrative design, stylish visuals and interestig worldbuilding.
Our main goal is to come up with an exciting story and setting which is just intriguing and fun to explore.
