Phew, spend the better part of last month building the bones and structure for this. The actual behaviour is still rough around the edges but the groundwork is done, and I've set up many knobs and triggers to refine and customize the systems. You can also make the AI players fight among each other,
After some manual testing, the weather system felt a bit lacking mechanics-wise, as the first one to put up weather always had the initiative. I've added relation-system between the various types, so now weather can now be trumped or detonated by other weather types.
Balance-wise, all movement and health values have been dropped down, and the effects of fire have been scaled up. Still very much a work in progress with low priority. I'm planning to introduce a couple more unit-types before moving this up in priority
Next update will be a small one with some visual improvements to attack animations, health bars, and more information related to weather added to the UI.
