because it does not require a new absolute position, it responds to an existing position. This also reflects Heidegger’s concept of the mitwelt in which we only exist relative to a world (made of other points of reference).
This is why, although it requires more computing power to process, having the points react to the position of other points is actually a simpler proposition in the analogue world of physics than referencing an absolute position.
