Admittedly it was Christmas so we rather ate dumplings.
- Within the Incubator DD we gained knowledge about social media
- Hubert is experimenting with visual effects
- I've translated materials from prototype to new resolution
- I've created languages for both factions. ๐
- Kuba is already sketching the audio for the trailer
- Krzysztof had a consultation with a lawyer
It's much higher than the prototype one as you can see on the graphics (can you find all the differences???)
It was a hard decision, the biggest problem was to determine the height of the "floor tile" so the player could see the ceiling and the floor on three floors.
Pros and cons: โ๏ธ
+ it scales great on next-gen consoles like Switch
+ more elements fit on one screen
+ better presentation of the game space (clear and clean)
+ pixel perfect - always perfectly square pixels
+ it doesn't cut the sides of the scene like the prototype had
- i have more work, haha
- almost everything has to be done from scratch
Contrary to what you may think, not every pixel-art game is Pixel Perfect - if you pay attention in games (especially on Switch) where you play the pixels are either rectangular or some are much bigger and some much smaller, the image is also sometimes blurred. Sometimes when the resolution is unusual, the developers give a choice - the game can be stretched or framed. ๐ฉฒ
