Devlog 0.5 (Day 5!!!)

DAY 5 IS OUT!!! LET'S GOOOOO!!!

It's been really hard, admittedly, but since I have some vacations, I decided to go full turbo and got over EVERYTHING that I needed to get over for this update. And thus, it's here! I'm super excited because this is a point I wanted to reach for a long time, but also kind of worried? Because this is a before and an after moment. The theme of the VN will still be very light hearted, but the main warning is there for a reason. Just remember that, after a big storm, the sky shines the brightest.

What's new on Day 5?

• Day 5. Yes, I will make this joke every single time. It has some variations here and there, but, admittedly, this day is more linear than the others. It doesn't mean it lacks content, but it'll be more straight forward than usual.
• Probably the most notorious part: new main menu picture and music! Kronika XXI was hired to make the main menu theme with the money we got from Patreon, so... Thank you so so much!! I really hope you like the new looks. I really liked the previous theme, but I think the new one transfers the message I want to send better.
• A new sprite for Robert (what a surprise, but this time I needed to do it) and expression for Mike. I would have liked to do more, but I already delayed this update more than enough. I might revisit that at some point and add either sprites or CGs over time, but we'll see. We're lucky enough to develop the new update, let's not get ahead of ourselves too far lol
  
• New stylized backgrounds for the new setting.

Anything else?

Apparently, the Android version for Cor gave us troubles again, so there's high chances that, if you want to play it there, you'll have to uninstall it and install the new version again. It should still keep your saved files and all the needed things, but I'm aware it's a bit of a pain. Sorry.

Sadly, this update doesn't come with any new CG during the game (if we don't count the new main menu), but hopefully will answer a few questions in exchange. I would like to promise that the next update will come sooner, but seeing my resumé, I'm not really comfortable trying to promise that. As I mentioned before, I'm not fully comfortable with updates taking this long, even if I'm happy with the results and people have been the nicest (like, legit, thank you very much for waiting for so long and still encourage us, it means the world to us~). I'll try some stuff here and there to see if it helps.

That being said, I've felt stuck from time to time for trying to focus on Cor and not doing anything else, and, as an artist, I'm aware that can kill motivation. So, I might try to focus on a secondary story. Shorter, so it can be done in one go, but something to keep my mind off when I need it. I don't know if it'll be in a VN format, or as a comic, I have no idea, I'll let people know once I have things more clear. It'll be part of the world of Cor, but not in Cor, nor it'll have anything to do with these characters, that's for sure, since I want to explore other aspects that I wouldn't explore during Cor. I hope it's something that you'll like, and if not, that's ok too, I just know I want to try something different here and there~
