Now at the beginning of every game, you'll select the number of players then see a loadout menu, allowing you to decide which weapon & runes you want to take on your run. Runes have a maximum of 3 being carried, with 6 to choose from! Some runes affect weapons differently too so make sure you read the description of each before selecting.
Now the feature I removed from the game was settlement building, as fun as it was to have your own settlement, I've had to reflect on how much value it adds to the core mechanics and how much time I actually have to work on it as a solo indie dev with a full time job. My priority is to make sure that every run you go on in ShieldMaidens holds something unique, whether it's who you play with, the combinations of runes and weapons you carry, or the enemies you come across.
I hope others enjoy the direction I'm now taking the game, I would be thrilled to hear your thoughts & feedback
