New Features
This has been ONITH's largest update yet.
Buildables and Worldgen
- New entity: Stone Wall '#', a pricey but very hardy defense. Requires Masonry skills to build.
- New entity: Fence '#', a cheap but softer defense, good for year 2.
- New entity: Roads '.', allow the player to move around the town faster.
- A 3x3 area of roads marks the center of town. The player will begin here during raids.
- A river now runs from the top of the map to the bottom of the map.
Gameplay and Debug
- Added a look cursor. Press 'l', then move to a viewable, then press 'l' again. Not all viewables are implemented.
- Added debug option "Toggle Ability", which only works for Masonry, right now.
- Added debug option "Toggle Pathing", highlighting the pathing plan for a given Hordeling (no other entities)
- Added a debug option "Spawn a Home", to force a homestead to spawn
- Player can press 'c' to Sell a Sellable (Trees + Buildables)
- New status: "HASTED". Your next move will cost has as much energy (making it essentially free right now).
Monsters
- New Monster: Sneaker hordeling 's', a shy horde
- Monsters have advanced pathfinding AI
- Juveniles path intelligently around obstacles
- Juggernauts path straight towards their targets
- Sneakers try to stay out of sight
Changes
- Juggernauts deal massive damage against "structural" targets, like walls and homes
- Crops now have 3 hit points instead of 1
- Trees can't be chopped by the player now, and do not drop logs. They must be sold to profit from them.
