"When it Snows, it Blizzards" Xmas Update!
So much for the "small" update I had planned, but regardless I'm delighted to announce that v0.9 has turned out to be the most significant and exciting update yet! Why? Well this update finally implements all the most critical enhancements I've wanted to do since this project began. And this has taken the redux to a whole new level of quality that honestly makes it hard to go back to older versions now.
Main Highlights
- 🆕 60 (or higher) frames-per-second for buttery smooth gameplay.
- 🆕 Physics-based collisions for improved and enhanced motion.
- 🆕 Procedural map generator (boss floors still use handmade layouts).
- 🆕 3D positional audio for explosions and stuff.
- 🆕 Custom resolution and max frame-rate options.
- 🎅 Limited time Christmas themed music and decor.
- 🔧 Smoother difficulty progression (still a work in progress).
- 🤐 DID NOT RESTORE SECRETS so don't go looking for any.
- 🐞 More tweaks and fixes than you can shake a candy cane at.
Many, many tiny things still need fixing and tweaking, but the only major work left is with the new scoreboard and tutorial. So moving forward I hope to release more frequent, tinier (yeah right) patches until the full 1.0 release. In the meantime I hope you all enjoy the update and have a great holiday!
