0.0.24 smoothed out transitions, plus a tiny sprite change

Lamplighter [Prototype]
A browser game made in HTML5

Alright, so I pushed like three or four versions recently, each with a few small changes–and then fixes to the previous versions where things broke.

Big fix in 0.0.24 specifically is that if you get a game over, the retry option works properly.

Other than that, I smoothed out the screen transitions everywhere with fades to and from black. I also added a loading indicator. Level load now starts when the fade starts (when the level exit is hit, the retry option is selected, etc.).

Finally, I added an additional highlight to the player’s hood. This will shine in the dark, like the player’s eyes, when out of fuel. The goal here was to make it easier to see yourself in the dark when facing up.

With some of those smoothings-over out of the way, and while I’m on winter break, I might spruce up the way scoring is tracked between levels. The new fades kind of truncate the bonus fanfares, and I think it would be cool to track it as a paystub/invoice/receipt kind of thing to emphasize the job theme. What do you think?

Thanks for playing!
