Hello, potential Daniel-ite! Dannie? Whatever the 'danbase' is called. Beta 10 has been in the works for longer than any of us could have imagined. We're stuffing a lot of features in this one, and we hope you will enjoy it! And to make sure the most people can enjoy it...
Damn Daniel: White Vans Adventure Beta is now public! Thank you so much to all the Beta and Alpha testers who have supported us thus far; we couldn't have done anything without you. Please join our Discord to chat with other players and suggest your own criticism, ideas, and features!
Stepping in as the first Boss Enemy of the Combat Demo is the Boogie Bot! This crass, egoist dancer only has two goals in mind: looking fly, and kicking ass while doing so. His track is Dernierite, composed by CaveL1ghter. As the first boss, his gameplay will be basic compared to the others. Daniel won't have to take him on alone, as...
Who better to help Daniel in his Adventure than his best friend, Josh! Just like he supported Daniel in the video, he now supports him in-game too. Josh is equipped with Healing and Reviving magic, making sure the fight goes on!
You can now enter the Practice Mode for testing your rhythm skills at the Main Menu, as well as at Daniel's house! Try getting the highest score you can!
For some extra modding friendly support, we have our own Debug Console for testing battles. All commands can be found by pressing the tilde key (~), and typing 'help'.
Like any other rhythm game, Damn Daniel now has a few more options in the new Game submenu to make playing it comfortable for everyone.
We have our own Game Over screen. This will be updated with loading saves once that functionality is implemented.
Our plans for Beta 11 include a potential sound engine overhaul to FMOD Studio and a new boss called Imptern Overlord.
All that extra fight money has to go somewhere, so go and spend it in the Shirt Shop to pick up some sweet digs! Not in the game yet, as it's still being developed.
An absolutely MONUMENTAL amount of bug fixes and changes. Everything should feel pretty good now!
