This update is all about fixes and gameplay features!
To save you some time, we haven't changed anything in the narrative for this build, but there's plenty of story in the works for the full game!
We’ve shown little screenshots of it in our Discord, but now it’s your chance to try it out!
How it works
I may have made it sound more complex than it needs to be. Just think of it as playing with your:
prized collection of generic plastic bricks that are able easily be connected and disconnected from one another
that you had as a kid.
Go to the Pause Menu -> Skill Forge and get stacking!
It was asked for, and it’s been given! You can now use the mouse in dialog, menus, and battle! It started with getting the right feel for Skill Creation and spiraled after that. I can’t think of many RPG games that allow mouse+keyboard controls. Anyone have recommendations I can research?
I originally wanted to design Racecar Bed from the ground up with controller/keyboard in mind (and still do because of its coziness) however from some feedback and the Skill Creation UI have made me consider otherwise
Uhhh, so I was expecting to update this more frequently (*Looks at last build date* O_O) , but it turns out there was a lot of upfront work to be done for Skill Creation. In order to iterate more frequently, I’ll be hiding completely broken/unfinished features while still working on the build. That way I can crank out bug fixes as they come in!
