I made this tile set for a project I've been working on for the past 2 months.
I tried out a new technique making isometric tiles with this set. I generally make my artwork in Blender and then use it as 'stamps' to build an isometric tile in Gimp. However with this set I needed consistent 'slabs of concrete' for the walls and floors. The floors are not really an issue for me, but getting the walls to mesh well together was a brain tease.
To get tile long artwork to fit the perspective mold I was working in, I had to skew it at a weird angle to get the desired result. While there are definitely things to be improved on using this technique but I think the foundations are solid. I think I'll try a lattice to deform the model next time, because working at the skewed angle is really tiresome.
As for getting what I was aiming for, I'd say that I got it about 80%. The cement texture came out a little 'washed out' and was aiming for something just a shade more crisp. This was a good practice piece, and I'll still use it for the prototype I'm working on, but I think I can do better. So I'll leave this tile set here and maybe someone can find some use for it.
