I had a hard time on that level trying to tell the original colors appart, some colorblind players pointed out that for them was nearly impossible.
Originally I added an audio pitch between levels (higher the level, higher the pitch) because I wanted the music to transmit to the players that they were progressing. The result was not what I expected: when the players moved from one level to the next, the pitch adjustment made the music sound really weird, even scary.
I planned movement as something that needed to be thought out, so in my mind players would need to stop to think and then move. However, in levels where the player needs to move in a straight line or if the player thinks all the movements before hand, it became annoying pressing the keys repeatedly, so now you don’t have to.
When changing this I also fixed a small bug where the players might fail a level after lighting all the blocks if they pressed the movement key in a small time window that allowed for bulby to move again and “overcharge” the block.
I hope you enjoy this version of BulbyLand if you didn’t play it before, and if you already did, thank you for playing!
