The results of the Godot Wild Jam #39 contest showed off a major weakness: We only got rank #22 for Graphics! And this is what we've been working on. While the original submission was quite a dull gray thingy, we've now added a lot of nice colors and cool artwork and gave it a whole new look and feel.
A huge thank you to Memento, who created most of the new design.
We just got rank #7 for Audio at the Godot Wild Jam #39. Hence, we added more audible content.
We fixes some minor bugs. When playing the old version you might have noticed passing a "shooting star", which was a bug in the level design and has been removed now. The level has been slightly adapted at the flip-jump that needs to be done from one to the other side of a spiral. This level was not optimally designed here. You can now easier do this jump and it's now possible to do it even at higher speeds, which allows for much higher maximum scores and therefore more fun and longer gameplay.
The Game now has a "Start Scene" for the HTML5-Version with just a "Start"-Button. Pressing the button, not only starts the game, but can automatically switch to full screen and enable sounds. Browsers suppress any such actions without user interactions. Hence, the logo intro animation can be heard and seen in all it's perfections... and no additional clicking around is needed to play the game. That makes a users life much easier.
To add even more fun to the game, we now have a High Scores page, where you can look up your worldwide rank. Note that each player (individual callsign) appears only once with the highest score achieved. This shall allow for more people to reach a High Score entry. If we notice anyone trying to flood the scores, we might reduce the scores manually... Be fair and only use one callsign! The game remembers your callsign until you restart it and which was your highest score. Hence, you will only be asked for a High Scores entry input, if you reach any better score. Hence, if you switch players on the same computer, you might want to restart the game. We will make this easier in future.
We also got a Credits page inside the game now to show off major contributions.
