V1.05

Here is what was changed in V1.05.

General

  • Updated speed by 1 across the board.
  • Updated class trait reactions to be classified as skills or spells.
  • Interpose now costs 1 parry to use every time.
  • Energy damages are now consolidated into ASTRAL and LUNAR.
  • Removed specific types of loot cache, now there’s just the singular type. Rarity chances have been increased.

Class

  • AEGIS: Overall Aegis is meant to use mana and parry, but none of their base abilities used parry at all, so they had no incentive to get or use parry. Since the basic parry abilities are used for taking hits, which the aegis is not built to do well, I’m shifting the Aegis to using the main defender resource more often, parry.
    • Abjurer’s Ward can be recharged at the end of any turn.
    • Ablative Armor uses PARRY instead of mana now.
  • ALCHEMIST: Philosopher Stone can now willingly be transferred between allies as a Quick Action.
  • ARSENAL: They can now restore equipment of allies with the Recover action as well.
  • ASSASSIN: Death Mark now deals Stress.
  • CHRONOMANCER:
    • Undo: Now costs stress for every phase that has passed. This is to impose some slight disadvantage, mostly to prevent someone from channeling in phase 5 and avoiding all downsides of doing so.
      • Alternatively, we can allow this to work, and maybe reduce the chronomancer base stats, especially health.
    • Unwinding Beam: Deals less damage, but the teleportation is guaranteed.
  • DEMON HUNTER:
    • Corruption: Gain corruption limited to 1/turn.
  • DEMONOLOGIST: As part of a general move to make summons more costly to use, to counter their reusability, summons will cost more mana.
    • Demon Lexicon: Demons now cost 2 mana to summon. Painlash now triggers effect at end of Demonologist’s turn.
    • Sacrifice: Life link now only returns 1 mana
    • Corruption Fiend: Now costs 2 mana.
    • Skull of Kroldar: Imposed a maximum Soul Essence of 6.
    • Ravager: Now costs 2 mana.
  • DRAGON RIDER:
    • Call Dragon: Breath Weapon is now an action (and the only action) the dragon can take itself. This reduces the confusion around abilities that would allow the dragon to attack. While this means that breath weapon competes for use among the Dragon Rider’s other abilities, it’s still a good damaging cone 5 attack. Plus, the dragon provides a ton of other utility.
    • Crash: Removed reference to scene ceiling, and just make it a flight 10 spaces up.
  • DRUID:
    • Briar Patch: Now applies to spaces characters are moved through as well.
    • Skybeam: Now has Arcing to represent the fact that it’s a beam of energy from the sky.
  • GRAVEWALKER
    • Harvest: Now a flat 2 parry.
    • Tombstone: Quick Action to use now, which makes it similar to how other classes work.
    • Written Name: no longer 1/round, and specifically worded to work with AOEs, making the Gravewalker have a niche as an AOE defender.
    • Entomb: Now inflicts Stress and SLOWED if the target succeeds on the save.
    • Specter of Sins: Now costs 2 Mana.
    • Unliving armor: Now gains 1d6 charges. You become DAZED when returning to life.
  • HEXBLADE
    • Hex: Quick Action to activate.
    • Shard of Doubt: Now happens on a MARK or SPELL attack.
  • PALADIN
    • Ultimate renamed
  • PHOENIX
    • Heatproof: Updated to any general energy resistance to account for reflavoring.
  • SEEKER
    • Guided Shot: Can now be used on allies
    • Heartseeker: Removed Arcing tag, since it is redundant with HOMING.
  • SHAPESHIFTER
    • Beast Weapons: Integrated weapon, can’t be enchanted, can be used if you end your turn and haven’t made a weapon attack. No longer a double attack.
  • STITCH
    • Restore: Option 2 now deals 2 Stress.
  • TIDECALLER
    • Rainfall: Option 1 now lasts until you use it again.
    • Storm Surge: Added Aetheric, ARCING and MANA 1 tags. The push is auto, with the prone costing mana and having a BLK save.
    • Abyssal Scepter. Damage changed to be energy.
  • WARDEN
    • Earthen Slide: Removed 1/round limitation
  • WARLORD
    • Follow My Lead: limited to 1/round instead of 1/turn, since this is a pretty powerful and long lasting Ult.

Talents

  • Dervish: Tempo limited to +6 ACC.
