We got a lot of playtest over the break from various family members and friends and it lead to discoveries about light levels and how hard and scary the game can really be. Multiple of my family members and even some of my college friends jumped when the snail appeared right before them on the ground. Yet a few people mentioned it might be nice if they couldn't see the snail teleport right in front of them. So we took that and ran with it now he only teleports to any place around the player right outside the view of the camera. With the model not being so large or complex, we don't have any trouble getting him to spawn and execute pathfinding quickly and efficiently.
