Graphics improvements and the future of PCR

Pretend Cars Racing
A browser game made in HTML5

All tracks have been redrawn with today's update! Gone are the constant kerbs around tracks, making them look more realistic and a little bit less forgiving to drive.

This was no small feat, as every piece of track was redone, but the work (and wait) was worth it. Not only the game looks better than ever, but it should also run better in machines with integrated GPUs and the HTML5 version.

With this update new cars were also added to bring more variety, together with some new sidetrack decorations. A few tracks were also adjusted, specially Spielberg to accommodate pit boxes.

A glimpse into (a posible) future

Yes, you read that right, there are now pit boxes in the game. You can see them only in Spielberg and Donington but they serve no purpose for the time being. In a private test version, I am starting development to bring them into the game, but its not something easy to accomplish, not at least to do it right. Tire wear and damage are already implemented and I have started working on the pit stops. It might be a long time before they are available, but if things go well, they will be part of the game. When? When its done (TM).
