Weekly Update #7 - Back to tracks

Making music is second nature to me, even outside video-games, thus it’s always a pleasure to get back working on Seed of Life‘s soundtrack. This week I’ve been working on the three themes of the main characters, each of them are using a different family of instruments. Hope’s theme uses wind instruments, Letty’s theme uses percussion, and Raven’s theme uses pinched strings. It was an interesting challenge, and I think each of these themes do represent each character’s personality. Since it’s always difficult to show you how I work with music with only pictures, I invite you to take a look at the Soundtrack album on Soundcloud.

• New Track: Shine (Hope’s Theme), it’s a variation of the main theme, will be used in cutscenes.
• New Track: Walk With Me (Letty’s Theme), will be used in cutscenes.
• New Track: Blinded by Reason (Raven’s Theme), will be used in cutscenes.

Objectives for next week

• Concept art for one of the other races of the game, the Levians. Specifically, the Manteri subspecies of the Levian race.
• Concept art for another character called Víðir, a Levian merchant.
• 3D model of Víðir, and texturing if I have the time. Maybe rigging as well.
