After many youtube tutorials, I've finally created a working snail that'll chase the players around as they explore the camp collecting notes! It's pretty inspired by Slenderman where it gets more aggressive with each note collected and periodically teleports and stalks the player. I'll be fine tuning the behavior as time progresses to a state where I feel like it's threatening enough to the player without it being ridiculously hard to get away from. I'll also be updating my other scripts, such as the doors to be interactable with a raycast, rather than a trigger volume. Some other plans I have is to add in our originally planned win condition, which is collecting parts to repair the escape vehicle, and a journal that the player can pull up to read the notes they collected.
