Short summary since this is a long post - I have decided to make Vampocalypse a full game, much more polished and with a lot of new content :)
You may follow me on itch to hear updates and know when it is released.
Hello everyone!
First I want to say that I had a lot of fun participating in the game jam, there were some great games,
and I had a lot of fun both playing other games, and getting feedback on mine.
I am very happy that the game won second place :D
As to the future of this game, I have decided to continue working on it and make it a full length game.
I think there is a lot of potential to dive deeper into the world where this game takes place, and explore the mechanics and narrative further.
My document with the plans for this game has become much longer than I anticipated :)
But I will try to give a short overview of what I have planned:
When trying to decide how to move forward with this game, I understood that this game has more potential than I thought, and I really believe it can be great if done right.
On the other hand, everything I have planned is very high in scope and will likely take me a long time to make. Especially since I am doing this in my spare time.
Before making any new content, I will likely start by creating the bigger narrative, and redoing the mechanics I already have, this is both to make sure they feel as good as they can, and to write my code in a way that is more suitable for a larger project.
It will likely take some time until I have any new content to share.
If anyone is interested in following the development, helping me with design choices or playtesting future versions, let me know and I will open a discord server so we can keep in touch :)
You may also follow me on itch to get updated when I post something new about the game.
Thank you so much for reading and playing my game :)
Feel free to give opinions on anything I wrote in the comments.
See you in the next Vampocalypse episode :D
