Time for a spooky Halloween update: Atop the Witch's Tower is now easily playable in-browser with Zeta! It also uses the Reconstruction of ZZT (which operates under the MIT License for open source reuse) instead of the original ZZT exe.
I believe this makes ATWT into one my few unambiguously legal releases asset and engine-use wise, so I've gone ahead and turned on PWYW, just in case you want to leave a tip for one of my favorite stories I've worked on.
You can still play the Archive.org version of Atop the Witch's Tower (which emulates the game in DOSBox) right here.
Thanks to Dr. Dos for the clear rundown on how to set-up Zeta in-browser. Thanks to Asie for developing the Zeta emulator and the Reconstruction of ZZT, and for helping me troubleshoot a few issues! And thanks to you both for helping shepherd one of the nicest most supportive art-tool communities I've ever seen.
