You are god, well...you are THE creator, you choose what you place into the world or the scene. Depending on the scale you're after. Have you ever wanted to create an entire city from scratch? From just air? You can do it in Buildscape. Looking to make a soldier fly through the sky like a plane? You can do that in Buildscape.
Building a world on PC has never been easier, with the ability to create a world of unending size* it's your imagination that's the limit. If you wanted to make a scene about a bank robbery or a cat being rescued from a tree! You can make something of meaning, make something unique, but most importantly…build something of your own!!
The concept of this game comes from Tiny Town VR. One of the only types of game in this genre that I have ever come across. After playing the game for over a year I decided to try and recreate the game for a PC version. I was impressed by this game deeply so the dream of making the game became a reality.
Players can relax and just let their imagination run wild. Similar to how Lego is suitable for all we're hoping that we can
Buildscape is a single-player casual world-building game in which the player creates a world/scene which is created using ingame assets. There are currently about a hundred assets included within the game all of which allowing for huge creations to be added and made by the players! Designed off the principles of Tiny Town VR, large amounts of inspiration have been drawn from the game, allowing us to pool a list of successes and failures within the game to then work off of to develop a game that is much more user friendly!
Furthermore, inspiration has been taken from the Lego, which has been an inspiration throughout my entire life! The ability to create and destroy as and when I wanted to has been something I've been missing from most games nowadays
Currently, there are a few unique features that set it apart from other games, there is the option of a toggleable mesh allowing for more precise placement of assets, however, it’s slightly buggy and will be overhauled soon.
Ingame build menu - An asset proudly unique but sadly extremely basic, soon to be overhauled with a new and unique UI that will improve upon what is already there (see image 1.0)
Categories - All assets within the game are broken into 4 important categories which allow the player to find specific items quicker than if there were no categories.
Unique music - The music included within the game has been specially picked out to fit the ambience of the game, calming and melodic which will help the player relax which playing the game.
Intuitive and comfortable world-building.
Unique Inventory system and interfaces built especially for ease of use.
* Entirely depending on the specifications of your PC, there is no world limits to world size, only computers ability to handle the scale
