Today I continued to build the village. Since the village's main wealth and sustenance come from agriculture I added dry blocks to make it seem as there once were rice paddies.
I then started to think of some problems with the level design. At the moment I'm trying to figure out how to make Yeon get to the Imoogi's pond. So I chose in the meantime to close the village within three mountains to create a sense of a path. Yeon will need to move forward to progress within the story.
Even though the day hasn't been that fruitful as not much progress was made, I started to notice that whenever the player moves, jumps or lands there was a reverb. Thus I tried to ask our sound expert Daniel, which couldn't hear it through my registration- I almost thought I was losing my mental sanity- until under his direction I finally found the problem on the sound mixer. The SFX Sum was causing a reverb of the sounds made by the player, just had to slide it down and the problem was solved.
I love to find out how some problems are actually so silly to be solved by moving a slider, but you have to lose some time to find it out.
I also finally added the Audio manager to the scene so now there's music! Check out the video.
